Artist Description
Musician, Artist, and Educator Matthew \"Max\" Welker has been performing in the metro D.C. area for 35 years in ensembles of all styles. An accomplished guitar player, Max produced and performed on Tori Amos\' first demo (Baltimore/Walking With You, 1980) and has been on numerous recording sessions for other artists as well. In addition to his performance credits, Max makes music fun for 40 piano/guitar/brass students every week, and has been doing so for over 26 years. Art and Music go hand in hand, and Max has been creating a new art form called \"Aleagraphs\" which are images that have been generated randomly via the photographic process.
